T & D Resources is a family-owned, full-service tool and die company based in Southern California. Established in 2010 by Kim Nielsen—who brings over 25 years of industry experience—T & D Resources is now proudly operated by Kim alongside his wife Kristina Hurrall and their two sons, Alex and Cory Hurrall-Nielsen. Together, the family continues to build on a legacy of quality, precision, and trusted relationships.
We specialize in designing and constructing custom dies for the stamping industry, including stage, progressive, and transfer tooling. Our team works with a variety of materials such as plastics, laminates, aluminum, and steel to meet the specific needs of manufacturers across industries—ranging from automotive and aerospace to appliances, construction, and more.
With state-of-the-art software, CNC machining, Wire EDM, and conventional methods, we bring both innovation and craftsmanship to every project. We prioritize transparency and collaboration, inviting clients to visit our facility and provide input throughout the build process.

KIM
Originally from Denmark, Kim moved to California in pursuit of the American Dream. With over 40 years of experience in the Tool and Die industry, Kim co-founded T&D Resources alongside Bill White. What began as a partnership grew into a thriving family-run business, driven by Kim’s dedication to craftsmanship and precision. His passion for the trade inspired his two sons to join the industry, and today, Kim continues to mentor them—passing down the techniques and values that have shaped his lifelong career.
Alex
Alex has worked alongside his father Kim for over 15 years, helping shape the future of the family business. Self-taught and now highly skilled in CNC machining, Alex has also developed strong expertise in die design—bringing ideas to life with precision and efficiency. His hands-on knowledge and dedication to refining processes have made him a driving force behind the company’s evolution. From the shop floor to the design table, Alex plays a critical role in T&D Resources’ success and continued growth.
Cory
Cory has been working alongside his father Kim for a little over a decade, contributing across multiple areas of the tool and die process. He specializes in die repairs, die design, and wire EDM. With no prior background, Cory taught himself how to operate and master wire EDM machines—developing a high level of expertise through hands-on experience and persistence. His versatility and problem-solving mindset play a key role in the day-to-day operations and long-term growth of the family business.
Kristina
Kristina is the organizational backbone of T&D Resources, keeping the office running smoothly and the team on track. As Office Manager, she oversees scheduling, coordination, and operations—but her contributions don’t stop there. Whether it’s assisting with CNC machining or lending a hand on die repairs, Kristina steps out onto the shop floor whenever needed. Her flexibility, reliability, and team-first mindset make her an integral part of both the front office and the workshop.
